Outdoor Spaces at Inn On Randolph
The number and variety of tranquil outdoor areas rival that of interior spaces. In addition to the private decks, patios, courtyards and gardens attached to most accommodations, the property also boasts numerous outdoor spaces where all guests are invited to mingle or enjoy private conversation. Outdoor spaces not attached to private accommodations may also be reserved for private functions.
The largest outdoor space is the Garden Terrace, located just outside the Historic Residence. Approximately 950 square feet of cobblestone hardscape is surrounded by gardens whose colors, textures and plant materials attract butterflies and hummingbirds, providing year long interest. Nestled along the edge of the terrace is a fountain and sheltered gazebo, whose living room-style furnishings encourage you to step inside and relax. Stepping stones on one side of the terrace lead you through an arbor to a second garden area, where a table and chairs provide an inviting spot for breakfast or to enjoy that recently discovered bottle of exquisite Napa Valley wine.
Both the Club and Spa Lounges have lovely outdoor terraces as well – less expansive than the Garden Terrace but equally comfortable and inviting.
Accessed through double French doors, the Club Terrace features seating and a custom fire and water feature. Water cascades from a weathered vessel, creating a backdrop for the flames that leap from a bed of river stones.
Double French doors also lead you from the Spa Lounge to the patio and garden area, accented by a pergola. When draped for privacy, this is a lovely spot for fresh air massage treatments or even an intimate dinner for two.
Our coziest spot may the front porch swing, a classic two seat Adirondack. An old fashioned touch, guests seem to gravitate here, making it a popular area for “photo ops”.
